Long periods of inactivity, combined with the cramped conditions and dehydration which can occur on long journeys, can cause a number of circulatory problems including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) – blood clots.
- Personal/Family history of blood clots
- Aged above 40
- Pregnant
- Female Hormone medications (contraceptive pill/HRT)
- Height over 6 feet or under 5 feet
- Obesity
- Former or current malignant disease
- Varicose veins
- Heart Disease
- Recent surgery or injury, especially to lower limbs/abdomen
- Inherited blood clotting defect
- Immobilisation for long periods

Directions:
Should be worn in place of normal socks throughout the flight. Always wear both socks & ensure that they are pulled up to just below the knee. Can be worn at any time to improve leg comfort. Machine wash at 40 degrees. Do not iron.
