    Mepitel minimises trauma to the wound, the surrounding skin and pain to the patient at dressing changes. The Safetac technology features prevent Mepitel from sticking to the wound bed yet adheres gently to the surrounding skin. Mepitel can remain in place for up to 14 days, only changing secondary dressing (e.g. Mesorb), which allows cost-effective undisturbed wound healing. Mepitel prevents the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound. It can further be used in combination with topical treatment (e.g. antimicrobials).




    Areas of use


    Mepitel can be used on a wide range of exuding wounds such as:


  • Second degree burns
  • Graft fixation
  • Surgical incisions
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Lacerations
  • Wounds with compromised/fragile surrounding skin
  • Skin tears
  • Skin abrasions
  • Blistering
  • Venous and arterial ulcers
  • Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)
  • Partial and full thickness grafts
