Burnshield dressings are designed to lower the skin temperature, alleviate pain and moisturise the burn area helping to prevent infection. To help minimise the potentially devastating effects of burns and scalds immediate and effective treatment is essential. The dressings are manufactured from an open cell foam saturated in an aqueous tea tree oil gel and are suitable for partial and full thickness burns. The Burnshield dressings are a sterile gel dressing and is designed to cool and protect a burn or other heat stress injury. Burnshield Dressing – Digit Hydrogel dressings specially shaped for finger burns. The Burnshield digit dressing is specially designed to be applied to burns on the fingers, and is impregnated with Burnshield Hydrogel thus offering the same benefits to the patient as the Burnshield dressings. 2.5 × 50cm Burnshield Limb/Neck Dressing A Hydrogel dressings specially shaped for limb burns.
